Despite its challenges, 2021 will be a year to celebrate some key milestones in medical innovation. During 2021 we will evolve the We Won’t Rest campaign, which continues to be used widely across more than 40 countries and 22 languages, to help celebrate these milestones.
Everything from Polio to HIV to Ebola to COVID-19 seemed at times unbeatable. But science and innovation always finds a way to do what was once impossible. Innovation beats impossible. For patients we are making the impossible, possible.
The #WeWontRest campaign tells the story of the biopharmaceutical industry’s dedication to innovation, to finding new diagnostics, treatments and vaccines that have a profound effect on individuals and society.
In 2021 the industry has had a high profile thanks to the unprecedented response to COVID-19. But recent successes in tackling the pandemic are not a one-off: they come from a long-standing commitment to life-changing innovation, which can be seen in new therapies and treatments for diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease.
The new evolution of #WeWontRest focuses on the most significant innovations in development - showing how they are built on the research that has gone before, how the industry is currently innovating and how this is likely to make a difference in the future.
